Award for Eno-gasronomic Literature

Other events take place as well as the main one, which is held in the second week in September, generating an exclusive combination of literature, music and art.

In this context, The "Minori Costa d'Amalfi" Award for enogastronomic literature came into being in 2002, it remains the only one of its kind in Italy, benefiting from a prestigious jury of experts developing and increasing the value of the works of narrative history, gastronomy and journalism and obviously eno-gastronomy. The President of the Jury is Prof. Tullio Gregory and the other members are Andrea di Porto, Ezio Falcone, Oberdan Forlenza, Giuseppe Liuccio, Gualtiero Marchesi, Luca Maroni, Maria Concetta Mattei, Antonio Porpora, Lidia Ravera and Andrea Reale.

The organization of the award, created by Giuseppe Liuccio, secretary and cultural consultant of the Jury, is provided by Le muse Cooperative which is specialized in organizing and producing special events and activities.

Three awards will be assigned from hundreds of texts of authors from all over Italy and one for writers from all over the world, texts regarding eno-gastronomy, oenology, history, social anthropology, economy, science, technology, tourism, all having as main subject the cuisine.

During his visit to Minori on the 4 April 2010, The President of the Italian Republic, Mr. Giorgio Napolitano has been nominated Honorary President of the Jury of the "Minori Costa d'Amalfi" Award for enogastronomic literature.
