Gusta Minori: Walking Around Minori

The hiking and environmental guides of the association The Path (Il Sentiero) suggest you 6 beautiful hikes to discover the surroundings of Minori: famous landscapes and terraced lemon gardens.

Prices: € € 15.00 per person for the morning hikes, € 10.00 per person for the afternoon walks.
Spoken languages: italian - english.
Mountain shoes are recommended.

Friday, August 31th

Morning

From Ravello to Minori, between old rural houses and lemon gardens. From Ravello we go down to Minori on the old stairs, crossing the hamlets of Torello and Villamena. Opportunity for tasting the lemon specialties during the walk.

Walking time: 1 hour - quite easy - stairs.
Departure: from Ravello, Piazza Duomo, alle ore 10.00
Arrival: at Minori.

Afternoon

Maiori - località Torre - Minori. A short walking in order to admire the Gulf of Salerno and put one self in appetite for the evening Gusta Minori. We shall begin with a short visit to the lemon museum and to the Church of Santa Maria al Mare.

Walking time: 1,5 hour - quite easy.
Departure: from Maiori, palazzo Mezzacapo (town hall) at 5.00pm

 

Saturday, September 1st

Morning

The villages of the coast. Minori - Ravello (Sanctuary SS. Cosmas and Damian) - Atrani - Amalfi. Between villages and terraced lemon gardens: the most unknown corners of the Coast. Visit to the old Sanctuary of SS. Cosmas and Damian. Opportunity for tasting local specialties at half of way. From Amalfi you may come back to Minori by ferry.

Walking time: 3,5 hours - average difficulty.
Drop: +250 m, -250 m.
Departure: at 9am from Minori, piazza Umberto.
Arrival: at Amalfi (or Minori by ferry).

Sunday, September 2nd

Morning

Minori - Saint Nicholas Convent - Minori. Upon the village of Minori, we will cross citrus fruits gardens and orchards, and then chest nut groves and pine woods, to climb to the ancient convent of Saint Nicholas. Beautiful panoramic views of Minori and Ravello during the walk, and great view on the Amalfi coast at our arrival point. On the way back, we shall stop in an "agriturismo" in order to taste fresh lemon juices and other specialities.

Walking time: 2,5 hours - average difficulty.
Departure: at 9.30am from Minori, Piazza Umberto.
